LASER World of PHOTONICS returns this year to spotlight the latest innovations in photonics systems, components, and applications, with exhibition sectors dedicated to Illumination and Energy, Biophotonics and Medical Engineering, Manufacturing Optics, Quality Control, Laser Manufacturing, and Optoelectronics. The international trade fair will run April 26-29 in Munich and will feature a new component called the World of QUANTUM, which will debut in its own exhibition hall. The new FERT-1535-XXXµJ-Q is a series of "eye-safe" 1535 nm diode-pumped passively Q-switched Erbium glass lasers with pulse energies between 100 to 500 µJ and high peak powers. The output beam has a diameter of 0.2 mm with divergence ≤10 mrad. The operating temperature range is very wide and covers a range from -45 to +65 °C. With dimensions of just 30 mm x 18 mm x 7 mm to 36 mm x 18 mm x 12 mm (L x W x H) they are very compact. These features and the high reliability make them the optimal laser source for applications like laser range-finding, laser imaging, and surveying equipment.
